Automation & Robotics

When you're ready to scale up your production with automation, our equipment will be ready to make the leap with you.

Our automation options are as flexible and customizable as our equipment is. All of our base models are robot-ready and can scale up with your production to incorporate cost-effective, proven automation and robotics options.

Our team works closely with you to make integration with your existing workflow as smooth and intuitive as possible, covering productiong planning, installation, programming, and long-term support.

Multifunction Bridge

Our new multi-function bridge is available 2020 as an option on both new and existing FRAMER and WING units. This unit allows your equipment to grow alongside your production, enabling new producers to enter the market with an all-manual operation and seamlessly transition to their desired level of automation when the time is right.

Our graduated approach saves money and future-proofs your workflows by enabling a wide range of automation options during the critical panel asssembly processes.

The multifunction bridge is an effective solution for the work processes best improved by automation, including:

Nailing: Automated nailing is faster, more precise, and standardizes your fastening for a more efficient and consistent production.

Milling and Drilling: The bridge is equipped with HSK tool holding for easy integration for your aggregate heads. Enable rapid, precise drilling and milling operations.

Robotics

Our designs are robot-ready for productions ready to move into advanced automation in the framing process. We can deliver a turn-key solution which simplifies your robotic integration process, getting your production up and running with a fully-automated framing process which can transition directly from material breakout to assembly, with no manual material handling required.

Robotic integration can also boost the productivity of your workforce, enabling them to shift from a labor intensive off-site processes to quality control and value-added operations like installation of MECs or windows/doors.

We're ready to begin collaborating with you to transform your rough opening process to a 21st century standard of efficiency and quality. When you're ready to upgrade with automation intelligence, get in touch with our team to learn about your options.

Off-Site Construction Robotics for Lean Production by Soukup America

The above shows a fully automated work cell, where lumber is cut to size just in time for robot to work from a standardized library of frame components. The robot assembles the jig itself for the rough opening, assembles the frame components as they come off the material breakout saw, and then performs fully automated nailing.
